Alternative Processes
Portraits taken on a 11x14 view camera and printed with platinum printing process. It’s a historic technique that involves hand-coating paper with a platinum- and palladium-based emulsion, then exposing it to UV light using a large-format negative. The image develops slowly in a chemical bath, embedding itself directly into the fibers of the paper. It’s a quiet, time-intensive process, but that’s part of what makes it so special.
